I.  HOMEWORK CHECK-IN
-walk through expectation process
- get out work/materials for this class
- set things you think you need to turn in under tracker
  (don't race up to teacher and ask what to do with it)
- check homework section / plan for tonight's needs or homework

II.  I AM POEM (rough draft)
- review format of I Am Poem
- NOT FOR YOU, but for the main character in your book
- rough draft IN your SS Spiral
* show how well you understand your main character
* finish as HW if not finished in class  (teacher will check later this week)
* we'll do more of these; this is a preliminary activity to get into it.
    JUST A ROUGH DRAFT

- review notes from previous chapter

- take notes on things that stand out as we read
- parallell structure/action
- themes that continue to emerge
- progression of the story
