I.  CASTLE PLANNING CHECK IN (again and again!)
* most important part of this project is understanding "project management"
A.   - check in (again) with where you are on parts, materials, process
       - what's your plan this weekend?
       - what do you need to do or have time to do?
       - when do you think you'll have all of your parts?
       - what do you see as your greatest challenge right now?  what's your idea for a solution?

B.   - use the Monday Feb. 20 column as a "PARTS I HAVE" list and a
         "PARTS/MATERIALS I need" list
       - your Castle Reading Packet #1 and your Castle Parts Quiz IS your score sheet right now
       * score guide will go up on the blog this weekend and handed out on TU


II.  THE GIVER chptr 12 (a critical reveal)

- story so far (shared/group share)
- chapter 9-11 model summaries (copy from overhead) &
  2-sentence summary "reductions" in bold face (practice/model)

- SSR Chapter 12
       DO:
    - quick CHAPTER SUMMARY (2 sentences, minimum; no more than 5 lines)
    - write quick REACTION (quick, 1-paragraph response to what you thought about the events
        in this chapter)

       answer Margin Q's  (2- pages in spiral this time -- no more than 2 pages)
    - pg. 87  # 1
    - pg. 88 # 1
    - pg. 92 # 1, 2 
    - pg. 93 # 2

___   continue to think about/plan gathering materials for those parts

___   finish 20 CASTLE VOCAB #1, w/ a focus on caste parts words (due TU, 2/21)
        (a) word; (b) detailed definition & explanation, description, or function of part;
        (c) a small drawing of the shape of the object to help conceptualize how it looks for castle
       
          * CASTLE VOCAB # 2 due the following Friday (you can start early if YOU like; or not)
