2/16 [TH], 2017 CASTLES (cont)

** CASTLE PROJECT DUE MAR 6

I.  CASTLE PLANNING CHECK IN (again and again!)
* most important part of this project is understanding "project management"
A.   - quietly review instructions and your notes
       - where R U in this process right now? be specific; (partner sharing)
        - where have you been getting materials? what parts do you know for sure you have?
      - share with partners your plans on materials and construction (think it through every day)
      * list in tracker things to review, organize, ask about, look for (be specific!)
      * trying to predict for problems early

- key word list video notes in SS Spiral (this is a research activity)
- include in title any bibliographic information we need for citations:
  title, publisher/distributor, "based on the book..."

- focus on any information on background/history of castles
- focus, particularly on any parts and descriptions of castle parts we can use

- as we go, we'll stop the video to draw any design elements we can use for our plans/castles

___   start to think about parts and materials for those parts

___  continue 20 CASTLE VOCAB #1, w/ a focus on caste parts words (due TU, 2/21)
        (a) word; (b) detailed definition & explanation, description, or function of part;
        (c) a small drawing of the shape of the object to help conceptualize how it looks for castle
