A. -background on story & main characters
- how Romeo winds up at the balcony of Juliet
- choral reading of scene (repeat after teacher)
B. - go back and review what's happening; annotate notes
- pick apart words
- note how fantastical, overblown, impetuous, brash he is
- BOTH of them are moving fast and making their love out to be huge/crazy/out of control
C. - watch video overview of the entire plot (animated)
- watch Reduced Shakespeare Company's 15-minute reduced version (hilarious)
D. - on the back of the Act 2, Scene ii sheet, write a brief
SUMMARY of THE SCENE (use our notes); add analysis and commentary if you can
