* NO people you know in this story!! No names of friends or people you know can be used
Often this detracts from and takes away from the point of writing this story;
It can also sometimes be hurtful or insulting to do so
* all of this should lead you to thinking about what you are including in or thinking about with your short story; go back and add elements that you feel or realize are unclear or missing.
SHORT STORY IS DUE MONDAY
- Handwritten or typed; Google Docs preferably;
- keep it SHORT (use models as your examples)
II. A. read CHARACTER story skill builder worksheet
- read Literary Skills: Character pg. 5 short story (very short)
* read questions and draw lines to the words/sentences in the text that give or suggest an answer
* answer all questions on a separate sheet of paper
* give the short story a title; use this "title" at the top of the page
B. read CAUSE & EFFECT story skill builder worksheet
- same process as above
- use the back of blank lined paper
* THIS time the title can do several things -- foreshadow the ending by being too obvious OR
be purposely vague to ensure / maintain the surprise ending
