II.  KNIGHT'S TALE (continued)
- we meet Joscelyn, clearly a woman of high standing and nobility
- William falls for his "foxy lady" -- a Jimi Hendrix reference
- reference to the games that people also play with words; hunting/courting
- COUNT ADHEMAR, even body language is dark, gloomy, unlikeable
- he's noble, but bored with and arrogant of the formalities
- "jousts" with Joscelyn and is surprised to lose to her
- irked by William = antagonists/rivals
