- You should have IDEAS on TIME to finish parts/whole castle
and know WHEN you can work on the castle
- REVIEW your Castle Parts Rubric (this is how you'll be graded)
Oh, yea, today is HAWAIIAN DAY!!!
I. THEMES IN THE OUTSIDERS
- brainstorm what themes or major ideas YOU think this book is about
- THEMES: Major ideas/topics for discussion that the author plays with or meditates on
IN the story, through the story; makes readers think
- most stories, books, songs, poems, etc. have more than one theme,
but often only a few major themes
- after brainstorming your own, look over the List of Common Themes in Stories
- circle at least 20 possible themes and be able so say why you think so
- table share and discussions
