CASTLES ARE DUE MONDAY, MAR 7
-You should have a design plan and have researched examples (or use handouts)
- By now you should also have most or all parts 
- You should have IDEAS on TIME to finish parts/whole castle 
   and know WHEN you can work on the castle
- REVIEW your Castle Parts Rubric (this is how you'll be graded)

Oh, yea, today is TWIN DAY!!!

I. CASTLES
- discuss where you are so far: plans, challenges, ideas, schedule, needs

- Quick Write On Demand Essay:
   Historical Overview of the Era of Medieval Castles In Western Europe

- review spiral notes and create a one-column page of one-word facts/details/dates
   you will use IN your quick write  (write left-hand side of spiral page)
- write essay, using the above list and your outline (last week's homework)
- No more than 2 pages (1 1/4 page minimum)
* quietly work on vocab or WS or CW if you finish early

I.  CASTLE PARTS LIST QUIZ 
- rewrite your codes onto a smaller cheat sheet
- use for quiz
- 20-point quiz
* after video and reading, what parts of a castle have to be built into your project

___  continue/finish CASTLE SEARCH AND FIND: IN THE BAILEY/TOWER (due by FR)
        we'll be using this as a resource/learning tool, also; what do we learn about castles from this?

___ continue RDNG CASTLE PACKET (due FR)
       * show reading (box terms  keywords, underline key details)

___ continue CASTLE VOCAB #2 (due FR)
       powerful, specific, colorful castle-era related words (show you can recognize these)
       for many of the words, definitions and details are IN the packet text
       * 40 words UNLESS you show spirit or bring in cans/$$
       * reduce total by 2 words for every $3.00 or 5 lbs of cans
       * minimum 15 words due, however.

___ KNOW what materials you have and what materials you still need for the CASTLE PROJECT
___ PLAN where you'll get materials and when you'll work on making your castle
___ HAVE solutions to things that will take you too long or for materials you don't have
