SPIRIT WEEK -- CANNED FOOD DRIVE
MON: FANCY DRESS UP DAY
* Dress up for Spirit Week and take off 2 words from total Vocab due
* 2 vocab words for every $3.00 donation
* Can only reduce vocab to 15 words (out of 40)
DUE TODAY (scoring in class and students keep for Tuesday):
__ Castle Expository Essay Outline (essay will be on demand Tuesd)
__ Castle Parts Vocab (quiz on Tues)
I. CASTLE VOCAB #2 (40 due FRIDAY)
- compile a list of potential words from CASTLE READING PACKET
- find 20-60 terms that are very particular to castles and castle era
- one page only in spiral; 2-3 column list
- you may also write down any other words or terms you are unfamiliar with
place those towards bottom of your spiral page
- box the key terms as you find them (shows reading, which is required)
- many words also include definition or explanations in text (underline key details)
FORMAT:
WORD (boxed) followed by definition/explanation
* you don't have to create a cheat sheet code this week
* use the same fold over format as last week (study strategy)
this week, however, instead of jotting down a potential material for that castle part, draw a visual
* when you fold over the paper to cover the definition, an image will help clue you to the meaning
