III.  GEOGRAPHY of the ARABIAN PENINSULA
* this is a skimming and scanning quick read activity
* learn to recognize where information is placed in texts
- FRAME topic (title of chapter)
- "is about" sentence = (take ideas from first few sentences/last few sentences of intro)
- "main ideas" = key word from header PLUS a word or two from first sentence
   words you could use to create a full, detailed sentence
- three-to-four details per main idea
- work quietly until end of class; compare/share at end of class
