SUB DAY AGAIN (MR. GENTILE at COMMON CORE TRAINING)

I.  FAMILY TREE chapter 4-8 Q's
- review notes (rebuilding/refreshing background knowledge)
- explain to substitute what the story is about (reminding yourself of the story)
- discuss in groups the chapter questions
- you can get more discussed in groups, so only jot down answers inside borders of each page
- jot down quick answers -- NOT complete sentences.  Not for this activity.
* this is a test prep activity
* also, using your notes whenever you can, you should start to see how well your notes work or what you might need to do to improve their usefulness

II.  DICTIONARY TREASURE HUNT
- explore dictionary entries while looking for words of certain specific categories
- follow instructions!
- look for and recognize nouns, adjectives, animal names, famous people names, places, etc.
- be as creative or artistic as you like
