* * HOMEWORK CLUB THIS WED-THUR, 2:15-3:15
      Requires a completed SUN School application

I.  TRACKER/HW check in (YOU SHOULD BE DOING THIS AT HOME, TOO)
- PLEASE follow the expectations of entering the room and checking your tracker, homework, etc.
- you may still chat, BUT prepare yourself.
- where is your homework?  How much is done? Start planning for tonight's homework.
- THINK about what you plan is; prepare
* we are chatting too much and not preparing well...

II.  VOCABULARY CHECK (looking at first five pages to see what's completed)

- vocab must be done on a schedule (several pages a night, which is also a reading activity)
- doing all work last minute doesn't work for success
- teacher will often collect vocab on Wednesday, just to see what's been done
- yellow marks on paper = not completed in timely manner; cannot get an A, but still must finish
- very few students can finish work last minute
- teacher suggests schedule, but students MUST plan and arrange their time during week


III.  GRAMMAR REVIEW - transitive/intransitive verbs & adverbs
- prequiz (struggle with trying to answer what these word parts are)
-WKSHT: show you read rules, looked at examples, read instructions
- box terms or instruction verbs (what should I know or do)
- underline key details that help clarify term or instruction verb

- label nouns, verbs and adjectives whenever you can to better help determine answer


IV. FAMILY TREE - chapter 8
- review notes (questions on chapter 4-7 on Thursday or Friday)
- share as table group
- continue taking chapter notes/key words (led by teacher)
- take note of plot, recurring images, internal motivation, ironic moments
