I.  DAILY EXPECTATIONS (again)
- reminder to get tracker out at start of each class; begin to organize
- check your tracker to see what's due, what should be worked on
- REMINDERS (section at end of week at a glance)
- M/W/F are typically going to be Language Arts Days
- Tu/Th are typically going to be Social Studies
- Purple grammar book only bring to class when requested
* many students not checking their trackers notes first and asking me what to bring
* we'll get there.  Check your tracker first.  THEN ask me.

II.  VOCAB -OR -ER -IST -- QUIZ
- pull out word parts
- read sentences for comprehension clues
- write definition as best you can
* you may re-take if you do not pass

III.  WHERE I'M FROM - rough draft
- reread example by George
- read two more examples; focus on form and structure
- start to write rough drafts/lines (one page minimum by end of work period)
* won't be perfect; don't have to like every line; will be messy
* revision is where you start to fix and change
* we'll complete on Monday

IV.  FAMILY TREE
- review previous questions answered
- write a prediction in LA Spiral
- teacher reads aloud to end of chapter 1 (almost)
- answer and discuss Q's in groups as we read
