I.  OCTOBER WORD BRAINSTORM
- brainstorm all/any words associated with OCTOBER
- dying month/fading plant life/colder days
- write all words into the Cauldron
* staple with vocabulary packet this week

II.  VOCABULARY PREQUIZ
- Spooky, Creepy, Eerie words this week
* taken from moody, tense stories from pulp era
- correct spelling
* CHOOSE 20 words from list & create lincs
* extra credit for more than 20

III.  EDGAR ALLEN POE'S "THE RAVEN"
- view dramatic presentation WITH text
- read text as poem is spoken
- key word list focusing on main character, setting, the plot, etc.
- write a one-page summary/review/opinion (quick write)
