II.  GIVER SSR/SPIRAL WORK

      A.   - review Spiral Pages completed so far
             - copy if you are absent; higher score the more filled out
             - have at least page titles

      B.   read SSR GIVER CH 19 
            explosive chapter; everything changes at this point
            Jonas is now eyes wide open; knows everything

      C.   spiral:  "GIVER CH 19 - 20-30 PLOT POINTS" 
             left-hand side page
             each line lists something that happened in chpt 19
             write short clips/be basic/one thing per line
             example: 
             "Jonas and the Giver talk in the Annex"
             "Jonas apologizes to the Giver for being late - was distracted."

__ VOCABULARY - "Modest Abode" story (DUE FRIDAY)
     * see words used in context
  
     1.   __  define the underlined words (more detailed the better your grade)    
     2.   __  find the "extra" vocab word that wasn't underlined (but should have been) 
           __  define that word, too
    3.    __  PARAPHRASE/write a brief SUMMARY of the story (to the right of the text)
    4.    __  create original sentences w/ context, using each vocab word
                 OR find detailed sentences online using each word correctly
                 OR create a short story of your own using all the vocab words
