NOVEMBER BREAK READING HOMEWORK
(Score 50 points for an A-plus)
Simple Instructions:
___ A) Read at least three different types of writing
that are not novels or short stories (20 points)
___ B) Read at least two hours over the break (5 points)
___ C) Keep a specific list of all the items you read (10 points)
* teacher should be able to find the source/find online what you read
no credit if teacher can't verify source
___ D) Journal/write a one-two paragraph reaction to five items (20 points)
Mention:
__ what you read;
__ what it was about and what you thought/your reaction
__ include the date and in (parentheses) how much time you spent
* A parent signature that you had a discussion with that parent about the above counts, too!
No writing! (Other than your list of items you read);
IT TAKES THE PLACE OF A WRITTEN REACTION
You can have five separate 3-5 minute (or more) conversations instead of writing!!!!!!
***************************************************************************
YOU CANNOT INCLUDE THE FUN READ NOVEL YOU ARE CURRENTLY READING
-- this is about other types of writing you'd not normally ever look at (most of us)
***************************************************************************
2 points for each type (no matter how much you read)
Add 1 extra point (only one) per category if you read multiple items in that category
This means you can score three points per category, instead of two
