9/21/18 [FR]

I.  TRACKER CHECK IN (every day so far this quarter)

II.  PROGRESS REPORT CHECK IN (where do you think you are?)
     A.    - review assignments so far; think about what you turned in;
                        how much work was completed
              - make notes if you feel you need to explain something
     B.     - on the back, write about what grade you think you are getting on this class
             - think about how hard (or not) you are working; quality of work; effort in class;
               are you trying at your ability level?
             - give reasons and examples;  WHY are you getting a high grade or low grade?

III.   FAMILY TREE chapter 3
             A.   - fill out title (FT, CH 3 KEY WORD LIST NOTES)
                    - how to listen to story and write down key words to stay focused
                    - start to learn how to use key words to retell/summarize
             B.   - Begin first paragraph of FT CH 3
                    - model key word process

__  finish this week's WORD PARTS VOCABULARY PACKET (DUE MONDAY)
      goal was to complete 2-3 pages per night M-F

      * BOX key words or terms;
         BOX verbs in instructions
         UNDERLINE key terms or definition words;
         UNDERLINE key words that tell you what you are supposed to do in the instructions

Purpose:  Practice close reading strategies
                Increase experience with broader array of vocabulary word parts
