* Sorry. Been unable to update for quite some time. We're back now.
I. POETRY SCRAPBOOK READ AROUND
- Multicultural Novel Poetry Scrapbooks were due yesterday
A. Discuss: How did you think you did? Explain. What grade do you expect? Why?
B. Review/Check out other Poetry Scrapbooks
- look at, peruse, discuss, think about what you did versus what other people did
C. READ ENDNOTES
- start with the conclusion first and then go to the start of each endnote
- how specific are students? how clear? What details are included?
- how does it flow? do you get a sense of what that person did exactly?
- can you see images and steps in your head or is the endnote to vague/general?
D. READ INTRODUCTIONS
- Same process as above; get a feel for what people did; think about what you wrote
- Is the intro just a rehash of the plot OR does it include personal experiences/reactions?
II. ASSESS POETRY SCRAPBOOKS (not your own)
- use checklist to see if the element or device is there
- TRY to find the elements; take note of ways in which student organization made
your assessment easier
