           strong, powerful, colorful, era-specific, challenging, interesting, unfamiliar
           60-90 words w/ pag (#) -- practicing citation rules

           - silent SSR/scanning first
           - then sharing with others reading the same book
       
          DUE:  w/ Vocabulary on Tuesday (finish on own if you do not finish in class)

II.       begin CARS - Disney/Pixar's Animated Film
           * focus on Character Development

                             Foil Characters (comparison characters)

                What do we learn within the first five minutes of the film?
                 How does the director establish characters, flaws, themes, setting,
                 potential conflict, etc.

          B.   view OPENING SCENES
                 notes on what film establishes/presents (in LA Spiral)
