I.  TRACKER CHECK!
- start class this way (always)

    - CHECK YOURSELF !!!
   what homework did you have?  how much did you do?
   what homework do you have tonight? 
   did you fill out your tracker yesterday?
   compare with peers

II.  SHARE/COMPARE/DISCUSS
      SS FEUDAL VOCABULARY
    - it's okay to share THESE words (just vocab)
      in this case it's encouraged

III.  FAMILY TREE ON DEMAND QW ESSAY
        A.    - review notes for any and all "CONFLICT'
                - label those notes for easy finding later
                - discuss at tables what you think or what your notes show as conflict
                   (and, yes, teacher has pointed out these things all novel long so far)
                - when we are done we are done
                - work quietly on SS FEUDAL VOCAB when finished (under your desk)

         B.    - WRITE ESSAY (follow overhead instructions)
                    1-page (maximum)/ 2-paragraphs minimum
                    IN your SS spiral
                    * this IS a quick write; it IS a rough draft
                    * don't stop to question spelling; write "SP?" which tells you to check later

                 -  open with an INTRODUCTION 
                    a brief overview of novel and general range of conflicts
                 -  use TRANSITION WORDS/PLACEMENT PHRASES
                    "at the start/begining of the novel,"   "after..., "  "first...then...next"
