December 4-8th

UPCOMING DATES
Friday, December 1st : Whole school kick-off assembly at 1:35pm followed by staff vs. 8th grade volleyball game.
· Location: Big gym
· Assembly Schedule will be sent out in advance
· Sit in your grade’s designated area (signs will be posted)
· Explanation of the drive for change and whole school goal
· Staff dance off/party to explain spirit week. If interested in participating, please let me know!
· K-5 will be dismissed after the assembly around 2:05, but are welcome to return after school to
watch the volleyball game.
*If you have students who need an alternative space, please send them to small gym.
12/4-12/8: Money collection!
Friday, December 8th: Bring jars to small gym for money collection after school.
General Information
School Goal: $2500
Money Disbursement: Shared between a local non-profit and Roseway Heights Families
Collection Jars: Please supply your own collection jug. It will be returned!
· Middle school will collect during 5th period.
Classroom Door Decorating Contest: Each class will be responsible for decorating their classroom door. The Drive for Change committee will come around and judge.
· Best door wins a pizza party!
· Middle school: Door decoration will happen during 5th period.

Questions about door content? Bring them, respectfully, to the staff meeting on Tuesday :)
Competition this year?! Say what?! There will be a grade competition this year! Each winner from K-2, 3-5, and 6-8 will receive an extra recess. There might be popsicles, but we can’t promise anything.
Spirit Week
Monday, December 4th: Past Decades Day
Tuesday, December 5th: Crazy Hat/ Hair Day
Wednesday, December 6th: Mismatch Day
Thursday, December 7th: Twin/Triplet Day
Friday, December 8th: Pajama Day; Teddy Bear Parade @9:15am
When the parade passes your class, students and staff who brought a stuffed animal may join in the back of the line.
*Our Drive for Change will emphasize the small ways in which our school can impact the community. As our students work within their community, they learn that they can be responsible for making great things happen.
