I.  TRACKER CHECK

- plan out homework in your tracker
- be specific
- plan for how much you have to do and how long each item will take
- HAVE OUT THE MYSTERY BOOK ABC work (past due, but still due!) 



III.  EDGAR ALLEN POE'S "THE RAVEN" (review text notes and story)

A.     - briefly share in groups story/plot/narrator information/conflict

B.      - view version first with just text and one, single image; read as we hear poem spoken

C.     - view next version with Gustav Dore's grim, moody, startling images
            text still shows up (reading)
         - continue to think about words/meanings/impact
         - how does speaker's voice shift (more intense) change what we think is happening
D.     - view Simpson's version for fun and to see what/if any changes are made
         - what is kept in or kept the same?  what is changed to make it more funny?
         - how do the animators keep the narrators frustration and tension in the poem
            AND keep it funny?
