II.  MYSTERY BOOK ABC
A.   Share words so far.  Talk about story using the words.

B.   Remember that your story has to also have literary elements revealed:
       Plot (opening, hook, peak, resolution)
       The Crime or Puzzle to solve
       Character descriptions
       Sleuth/Detective (someone has to be the person/people looking for the answer)
       Internal and External motivations are mentioned
       Internal and External Conflict
       Setting (time, place, mood, atmosphere)
       Lessons or Themes (major ideas)
       Clues
       Red Herrings/distractions/redirections (maybe)

III.  FAMILY TREE CHAPTER

A.   Review notes/story recently covered
       What big ideas did we note; discover; recognize?
       What happened in the last chapter?  Last few pages of our notes?

B.  continue to READ ALOUD
      take notes / discuss concepts or actions or themes at times
      take note of character perceptions
