     * this IS a pre-writing activity; do not rush through these questions;
      - your discussions and shared knowledge of the story become part of writing answers
      - A NUMBER OF STUDENTS ARE FINISHING AS FAST AS POSSIBLE
   ** Please just talk, question, detail, comment -- do not finish super fast; not the point of this activity

B.  Significance of Lily's name and her function in this community
      Think aloud/talk aloud how to research and make connections to the novel that fit
      How do real lilies fit the community and the character of Lily?

III.  continue to read SSR : CHAPTER 5

review margin questions quietly or work on homework while others finish chapter
