I.  HOMEWORK packet (word part vocab, political cartoon notes)
- put name on each sheet
- write due date on bottom of each
- review task of each sheet

* goal is that all work is due and ready to be turned in by Friday
* note that there WILL, hopefully, be time in class to work (weather, depending)
* political cartoon can be turned in by Monday, if needed
* determine individually if you'll work on each item per night, or if you'll break them up
   into one assignment per night (what has worked for you?)
* share at tables plans/possible obstacles/time might need per sheet

II.  ISLAM continued 
  (we've kept to it daily due to all the interruptions)

A.   - review notes so far; cover information as if studying for a test (helps to focus)
       - take note of key ideas and vocabulary words
       - share with other students at your table
     
B.   - Preview Images related to the religion/major pillars of Islam
       - look at images quietly and think about questions you'd need to ask to help make sense of image
       - ask questions (teacher led/class share)
       - continue in groups
        * ask questions both from visual data and abstract questions, also
        * this page will become a taped "flip page" in your SS spiral after grading
        - now GUESS possible answers to your questions; table group sharing

C.    - collect pages 56-59, HA chpt 9 worksheets on 9.4-9.10
        - Begin to read History Alive Chapter 9, "The Teachings of Islam"
       - SSR time to end of class (may start sheets IF you are inclined to do so)
       - we'll finish up on Thursday; not homework, unless you want to finish early
