* practice pre-writing strategies
- Using notes and text, create an outline of words & phrases to use in essay
- write outline on left hand side of social studies spiral
- take note of introductions and summaries, subheading titles

- WRITE one-page quick write on demand expository essay on Islam
- right hand side of the social studies spiral
- May only use outline you just created (and visible on left)
