I.  CORE PROCESS - Cornell Notes
- What is expected when you enter the class?
- Teacher-led notes (talk through and think alouds to explain formatting)
* will tape into trackers next week for reference

II.  EXPECTATIONS and POLICIES (listed in tracker)
- review some of our school policies and rules in groups, using trackers
- write out answers on a separate sheet
-  what is the "complete" definition of  TARDY?

III.  FAMILY TREE - PROLOGUE
- preview the "prologue"
- annotate (some guidance from teacher)
- "What do we look at when we analyze writing?
- predict the story/plot based on what we know so far
- teacher-led annotation on flip side (same prologue)
* Familiy Tree by Kathryn Ayres will be read aloud by the teacher
