WELCOME BACK!

I.  INTRODUCTIONS
- What do you think you KNOW about this core class?
- Questions you may have about 7th grade core (question-building activity)

reading and speaking practice
II.  EXPECTATIONS and POLICIES (some)
- silently read card with one expectation or policy
- read a second time, but underline up to 10 key words or phrases
  that you would use to explain your classroom expectation to someone else
- practice silently
- share at tables
- share with others around room.  Listen.  Try to summarize What you heard. 
  Share your classroom policy.

III.  FIRE DRILL
- review; walk through
- Expository QUICK write, explaining fire drill process

IV.  TRACKERS  and PACKETS
- hand out
- create list of To Do's for parents (what to sign, just read, skim, etc.)
- Trackers are $5.00 each
- Spirals are $1.00 for the year (4 total, to be handed out next week)
