We're back!  (although the blog has not been updated -- one week of practice test time, another week of the actual SBAC -- we have written in our trackers)

Ashland Trip Tues-We-Thurs

Leave between 8:30/8:45 am
    bring your own lunch for this first part of the trip

Return between 6-7:30, Thursday, depending on traffic
* prepare for rain (unfortunately)

******* regular school for folks staying behind, although there are Shakespeare activities that will help all students discuss the plays

- review/read parts without guiding questions
- underline and number at least five new facts or details that help you understand the play better
   or that you found interesting
- share in groups
* purpose:  reading types of writing we don't normally read/see/experience

II.  PLATO'S ALLEGORY OF THE CAVE
 - view two short videos that explain Plato's "Allegory of the Cave"
-  note how this 2,400 year old allegory is being used in the Giver
