- use index to find pages that discuss the Crusades
- READ Across the Centuries, pg. 290-294 (SSR)
  "Roman Empire in the East"
   * understand background of group that the west went to help
- CORNELL NOTES on AtC, pgs. 290 (teacher led - how to/what to write/think aloud)
- continue to take own Cornell Style notes, with subheadings
   as left hand headings in notes
- short, clipped notes (NOT long, detailed sentences)
  one or two facts per paragraph
- what's most important to understand how we GET to the Crusades?


II.  video notes on  HORRIBLE HISTORY: THE CRUSADES REPORT
- how you can get information and facts from a comedy skit
  (or, how you can recognize facts and details used in a humor piece)
- Watch video one time through; no notes; just watch
- rewatch and take notes on facts we learn about the Crusades from the video
