2/10/15 - TU [CASTLES]

I.  CURRENT EVENTS review article
-"Should a civics test be required in school?"  (USA TODAY, 2/8/15, editorial & rebuttal)
- read silently, go back and review; highlight PRO comments in one color, CON comments in another
- review instructions and formatting rules for homework
* due by Friday, 2/13


I.  CASTLES - review notes
- review questions (how many can you now answer?  how many do you still need information for?)
- review in groups castle parts and functions (what should our castles have?)
* prepping for both a test on castle parts and a quick write essay in spirals about castles
* helps to guide our note-taking for final portion of Macauley video


II. conclude CASTLES - Macauley Video
- continue video notes
- focus on history notes
                  when nobles/kings visit a castle
-                siege strategies
                 downfall of age of castles/reasons for decline of

* work on being able to differentiate AS we take notes
* take notes KNOWING we will write a QW essay on castles 
   and will have a test on castle parts and their functions
