11/3/14 - MO

Wreath & Poinsetta Sale begins 
                 today through Nov. 14 (fast fundraiser)
    - always be safe
    - find people you know who buy wreaths (easy sales, often)
    - same with poinsettas
    - collect check or money with order
    - delivery (you pick up to take to clients) on Wednesday, Dec. 3
    * have Jenteal Soaps orders with you (just in case)
        usually not competing fundraisers
        This fundraiser starts, officially, Nov. 14th

     - profits credited to individual student accounts for Ashland trip



I.  VOCAB WEEK 4
- prequiz
- self-correct
- complete Day 1 in class
- teacher model (remodel) guessing/reading process
- HAND OUT reminder check list (tape into tracker)

* Day 2 is HW for Monday night, start sentences (words you've verified)
* Day 3 is HW for Tuesday night; continue sentences (words you've verified)
* Day 4 is HW for Wednesday night; continue sentences (words you've verified)
* Correct/Discuss Thursday in class; finish sentences (INCLUDING idioms)
* sentences due Friday, (but start earlier)

II.  FAMILY TREE - chapter 20
- review all notes from day 1
- create an ABC list (modeling for Middle Ages novel)
- prewrite all letters to take up two lines, skip lines between letters
- at first brainstorm ALL words that fit into a letter category
- underline significant, specific, (not general) words
 i.e.  "Sumac," (specific and meaningful)  instead of "trees" (too general)

__  consider beginning Vocab Sentences on Middle Ages novel (due FRI)
      apply new words to the novel you are reading

__  review/look at ATLAS page 144 "British Isles" map
      10 geographic observation sentences due Friday
      detailed, clear sentences, using directional language from instruction sheet (in spiral)
       * Make up points may be gained by doing extra sentences about your middle ages novel
          geography (will count for both crossword and Atlas assignments)

___ Middle Ages Fiction Novel ABC List due upon return next week (Wed. Nov. 12th)
       One word for each letter, defined in detail AND explained
       How does word/term fit into the novel or middle ages life?
       NOT a one sentence list; mini paragraphs 3-7 sentences.
       (Seven sentences would be a "you need to stop writing now" maximum)
       * students should be finished with the novel by this Wednesday, 11/5
