           Each chapter worth points.  Roughs will be just that -- rough, sloppy, messy
           Rough drafts give you something to work with, to revise, change, correct
           * for viewing only, teacher will not keep
           * show me rough drafts between now and Tuesday for full points
           * rough drafts are a separate grade in Synergy gradebook (will be on progress reports)

II.  FAMILY TREE - chapter 10
- continue towards finishing question sheets (discussion, use of notes)
- read chapter 10
- note shift in character as plot "thickens"
- how has story changed from the start?
- focus on words or actions or phrases that develop theme, major ideas
- use of imagery and tree motif
* key word/image notes in spirals as teacher reads
 - CHOICES vs. "easy road" vs. accepting consequences
- focus on why author uses the word "plunge" to foreshadow

With TEN DAYS TO GO ON THE MIB, you should be planning how you will finalize your book.
