CASTLE PROJECT: MATERIALS

__ Cereal Boxes (walls/outer structures)
__ Paper towel or toilet paper cardboard rolls

__ circular oatmeal containers
__ dry food boxes such as pop tarts or the like
__ Yogurt containers or small aluminum 8-16oz
cans
__ Egg cartons (tops of towers)
__ 1-quart and 2-quart milk or juice cartons
(towers/walks)
__ plastic jar tops
__ Cardboard boxes, including shoeboxes
__ Balsa Wood or extremely thin board, if you
don’t like cardboard
__ Foam Blocks (you can carve into shapes &
paint)
__ Sewing thread spindles
__ Popsicle Sticks (for trebuches or portcullis)
__ Yarn or shoe laces (window bars or portcullis bars)
__ Shishkabob skewers
__ Cotton balls

Glue (your call on glue gun or other types of glue)

Paints (optional. Model paint or other

- MANY, IF NOT ALL, OF YOUR CASTLES WILL BE ON DISPLAY IN OUR LIBRARY. THE REALLY LARGE CASTLES WILL VERY LIKELY HAVE TO STAY IN CLASS.
- STRIVE TO KEEP THE SIZE OF YOUR CASTLE AROUND OR SMALLER THAN TWO SCHOOL DESKS PLACED TOGETHER.
- CASTLES SHOULD HAVE IDENTIFYING BANNERS. WE WILL CREATE IN CLASS TABLE TENT OR INFORMATION CARDS FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES.
