I.  WORD ASSOCIATION WORKSHEET
- looking at words, define what they are
-with each new word, make associations on how they might connect
* strong readers do this automatically while reading; struggling readers do not
* often struggling readers don't work through the connotation/association process


II.  VOCABULARY WEEK 15
- review answers/correct mistakes
- continue sentences if you finish early
* 20 sentences (open subject) due FRIDAY

III.  MIDDLE AGES PERSON - research
- FAST, ONE-SESSION POSTER PROJECT
- Quickly review your notes; quickly look up significance of person one more time
- one class period to create poster; use format on whiteboard; PRIORITIZE
- design first; use light pencil; focus on writing next
- a long, mini-essay paragraph; choose what NOT to say
- must cover who person is, when lived, where from, what accomplished or known for
  and a few bits of background information that seem to help explain this person better
* Poster will look like a rough draft; a NEAT rough draft
* use time to finish in the time you have; not graded on perfection
