I.  TRACKER/HOMEWORK check in
- review where you're at
- Do you have your Presidential Address sentences?
- share/discuss Presidential address

II.  ATLAS 
- take a few minutes and work on Atlas, page 148, Eastern Europe
- what do you observe?  How would you get from one place to another?
- What geographic features do you notice?
* the more detailed your sentences the higher your grade
* this is a WRITING assignment, also
* 20 observations/facts due FRIDAY

III.  MIDDLE AGES PERSON - research
- quick research and poster activity on a Middle Ages person
- research in compuer lab (quiet research)
- WRITE CORNELL NOTES in tracker from descriptions first
* notice all the facts you can get before even going into a web page
- Wikipedia IS an okay source, but not your only source
* open up a new tab and look up words you don't understand (that's part of your research)
* use Cornell Notes pages in your tracker
* We'll create rough drafts of mini-essay paragraphs on Thursday
* this is not an endless assignment and not homework - one day of research, one day to produce

QUESTIONS TO GUIDE YOUR NOTE-TAKING:
WHO IS YOUR PERSON AND WHAT DID THEY ACCOMPLISH?
HOW DID THEY IMPACT HISTORY/WHY ARE THEY SIGNFICANT?
WHAT MADE THEM WHO THEY ARE OR WHAT INFLUENCED THEM?
Not sure why your person is important?  Type in the question "What did [name] accomplish?"
    and see what comes up.  Google WILL try to answer your question and give you options.

WE WILL ALSO BE COMPLETING THE LAST PHASE OF THE EASYCBM TESTING TODAY -- ONE MINUTE READING OUT LOUD (students scored on how many words they read correctly in one minute)
