 - focus on note-taking style for ease of reading; designing page

- teacher model on SHOWING you read the instructions & looked at examples//rules
      = box terms/underline key details of definition
      = box verbs telling you what to do/underline details
- work in groups/share discuss answers  *refer back to examples frequently!!!
- teacher will walk through corrections; THINK ALOUD process
- I'm thinking out loud what students should be thinking as they follow the process
* notating verbs, nouns, which help indicate where adjectives would be
* teacher will assess #7-10  for grade

          writing/reading/literature
III.  FAMILY TREE chptr 7
- review notes (quietly); put yourself back into the book
-discuss in groups:  WHAT IS TYLER'S CONFLICT? 
- what is her struggle so far?  AND, how is she dealing with this struggle?
- WRITE LETTER TO TYLER (in LA spiral)
       What would you write to her about?  What would you say to her about
        what's going on in her life?  What advice would you give?  Can you
        relate?  Do you have a story to tell her that would make her feel better

HOMEWORK -- plan your time carefully/map out your schedule

      *Now is the time to begin finalizing your MIB chapters (work at YOUR pace)
      * Every night you should have some MIB homework (your plan/your choice)
       * goal is to have a great deal/most done by Sunday, so that you can revise
          and finalize next week.
