I.  DAILY EXPECTATIONS
- reminder to get tracker out at start of each class; begin to organize
- check your tracker to see what's due, what should be worked on
- REMINDERS (section at end of week at a glance)
- M/W/F are typically going to be Language Arts Days
- Tu/Th are typically going to be Social Studies
- Purple grammar book only bring to class when requested

II.  MINI ILLUSTRATED BOOK (mib) CHOICE
- glance at and preview all books from our library on people from 7th GR SS
- look at covers, back covers, inside covers, read a chapter or paragraph or two
- start to think about books/people you want to read about
* Also begin to pay attention to the "design" of books
* Instructions to be handed out on Wednesday (write this in your tracker!)

* goal is to start reading book first, THEN begin project

III.  BOOK CHOICE QW
- name, core and date in upper right corner
- Title is Mini Illustrated Booklet Choice Book
- List Title of Book, Subtitle, Author's Name, Publisher, Year Published
- List the number of pages in the book

- HALF PAGE QUICK WRITE
- conversational in tone
- What book did you choose? Why did you chose this book? (explain) What do you know about this person?  What other people/books did you consider?  What is a person/book you definitely remember NOT wanting to read about? (explain).  What are you looking forward to in this reading/book?

* finish in class (there's enough time) or in the library.
* otherwise, this becomes homework

* start to figure out how much time these papers will take you
* show reading as we discussed in class
* you might finish quite a bit in one night
* REVIEW YOUR WEEKLY ACTIVITIES such as practices and such
    to figure out how much time you'll have
