- compare, correct, discuss in groups
* if you don't have your packet, you are still writing down answers to take home
* yellow marks on packet indicate late or not done in timely fashion

II.  WHAT HELPED CAUSE THE DOWNFALL/DECLINE OF FEUDALISM?
- Review Feudal system (promises, vassals, obligations, three fixed classes, etc.)
- Guess what might cause the decline of this system?  (class discussion)

- read HA, CH 5.1 (EVERYONE SSR reads introduction)
* introduction gives you major causes and gives you "so what?" "why important?"
- review section assigned to you -- 5.1, 5.2, or 5.3
- count paragraphs, look at first sentences, start to think about how you'll design your FRAME
- fill out graphic organizer/outline sheet (FRAME) with main ideas and details
- must include conclusion or "so what?"
- also review & compare same topics in Across The Centuries (pages 270, 310-312)
* not homework; due by end of class;  do not overwrite to ensure you finish!

- Youtube viewing of all-African American cast, starring James Earl Jones
- just bits and pieces

- focus on using words correctly, showing you understand meaning of word
- review example sentences from packet to make sure you are using words in a similar way

__  read "Black Boxes in cars raise privacy concerns" (Oregonian, 12/7/12)
      20 facts or details (things you understand from the article) - DUE FR 5/17
      * complete title; neat, detailed facts, organized writing (typed or written)
      * After you have your facts, write a quick summary on top half of backside of article;
         write your opinion on bottom half of backside of article.

        * begin SENTENCES once you correct and check answers (each night)
           Try to get a few done early! ! !
        * write sentences with detail and context.  Show that you understand the meaning
           of the word.
        * underline or box the vocabulary word; skip lines between sentences
        * title must include which week of vocabulary (which #) and the topic
