___ Start/plan ATLAS HOMEWORK: 25 Facts on region or place/setting of novel
- Cornell-Style notes; can use other resources - online/encyclopedia
- include summary/reflection
* will lead into a one-page expository essay written IN class (for poetry book)
___ Read 20-30 minutes of MULTICULTURAL NOVEL (finish in 10 days or less)
* should already be 1-2 chapters into book
* write rough drafts of poems on your own as homework
___ Start to plan WRITING POEMS FOR SCRAPBOOK
* HOW to create 50 points in poetry
* Research poem types and examples; write 10 poem rough drafts per week
* Rough Drafts = D (so they are worth points!)
* Create 1-2 "I AM" Poems about characters at start of novel (chapter 1-3)
You can write a follow up poem about same characters at end of novel
