2/13/13 - WE



I.  read "ARCTIC DANGERS" narrative essay
- complete Cause & Effect chart
* USE text
- share/discuss in groups, then as a class
* leads us to Historical Diary reading book

II.  HISTORICAL DIARY BOOK REPORT (will be due FRI, 2/22)
- discuss reading/story so far with fellow students
- discuss/show timeline parts on back of worksheet
- timeline, events (historical and personal)
- beginning and ending (use your book)
- start drafting events both personal and historical (review book)
   and start writing them along a timeline to see how everything lines up


III.  OUTSIDERS, Chapter 4 -- Bob the Handsome Soc dies
- Next available right hand side : "Previously" and "Reaction" QW's
- discuss word choice of author
- point out sentence structure and how Hinton uses variation to convey mindset
