HOMEWORK

Homework is ongoing and students are expected to PLAN TIME TO WORK ON HW
This week, students must prioritize between long term project (the Castle Project) and short term/immediate (The Book Report Timeline)
___ HISTORICAL BOOK/DIARY should be finished as of this weekend
* Rough Drafts of Timeline are required (we worked on in class/finish at home)
___ finish HISTORICAL BOOK TIMELINE (due FRIDAY)
* use rubric as a check list; use examples for guidance; use rough draft as guidance
___ continue this week's VOCABULARY: 24 CASTLE PART TERMS (lincs)
* finish by Friday (continue through weekend if not finished)
* including word, reminding word, definition, sentence & illustration
* by this point, we've focused enough on castle parts, students should be well-versed in
what elements their castles should include
___ CASTLE PARTS WORD SEARCH & CROSSWORD
• finish by FRIDAY, 2/2
* plan out how many words to finish each day; use class time well!
* use notes and search & finds to complete many definitions, illustrations, sentences
(this is on purpose -- your notes SHOULD be helpful and useful)
I try to set the castle out as a project that is planned and follows a process.
***** By this week, students should have considered and started planning:
____ MATERIALS they can access and use and begun to gather
____ DESIGN IDEAS they like and can actually complete in a timely manner
____ ideas for CASTLE BACK STORY based on any prior knowledge or in class work
