Goals for week:
__ FINISH historical journal/diary (should already be done by now)
__ FINISH rough draft of timeline (also already should be done)
__ BEGIN final copy of two-page timeline (due FRIDAY)
I. CASTLE PARTS - reviewing parts of a castle through observation
-use SS Spiral notes & Search and Find to create list of castle parts
- use lined paper to prioritize (upper items must be part of project, middle page items not as high a priority, lower page items might be neat, but not necessary)
- discuss/share at table
- begin CASTLE PARTS WORD SEARCH/CROSSWORD PUZZLE
- begin CASTLE PARTS coloring/matching sheet
* both due by next Monday (keep as a resource until end of project)
* teacher will visually look at and score these reference sheets over next few days
** VOCABULARY THIS WEEK WILL BE CASTLE "LINCS"
- word, definition, reminding word/rhyming word, sentence, illustration
- 24 words that are parts of a castle
II. HISTORICAL BOOK/JOURNAL TIMELINE
* due this Friday
* book should already be finished
* rough draft should be mostly finished
- use time in class to begin final draft; USE TIME RESPONSIBLY!!!
