- brainstorm lists with subject headings (wksht)

- brainstorm lists/sentences for paragraph subjects (wksht)

- brainstorm subject headers for related sentences that need a main idea

* will lead into revising/typing/rewriting "If I Were President" short essay

II.  IF I WERE PRESIDENT short essay, revision/typing

- review, look for errors, think about topic sentences and supporting details

- type in the computer lab (800-words or so...not a long piece)

- Save to Y-Drive; print out a copy for your records

* more of a letter to the editor or editorial-type writing piece

III.  HOMEWORK PACKET

- check answers in computer lab (type clues as questions and "read" for answers)
