I.  TRACKER/HOMEWORK REVIEW
- open tracker and review homework from previous night
- where are you?  what did you do?  what's left?
* start/continue homework if you finish and other's are still working on tracker

language arts/grammar/proofreading
II.  DAILY ORAL LANGUAGE #1
- read sentences and look for grammar errors to change
* model first with teacher
- instructions tell you what to look for
- look up rules in textbook, if you are unsure
- work in groups, then correct as a class
- self-reflect on the back

literature/writing
III.  LETTERS WITH CHARACTER (to a character)
- Read instructions and description
- Read sample letters written to a character in a novel
- Write a letter to any character in Family Tree, 1-2 pages, in spiral
- read and look for words that might be misspelled; be suspicous
- lighly circle word and write a question mark to alert you to check it later
- read aloud to self and "hear" the flow of the words; look for fluency

HOMEWORK

Students have had time each day in class to work on MIB or Homework
Their goal is to set specific goals each night on what they can get done
Look at available time.  Think about how long assignments have taken.
Plan nightly homework accordingly.  Try to get as much homework done in class
as possible.
