* First 7th Grade Fundraiser to begin this week:  2013 Entertainment Books
* PTA Gift Wrapping Fundraiser to also begin this week!

I.  TRACKER/HOMEWORK REVIEW
- open tracker and review homework from previous night
- where are you?  what did you do?  what's left?
* start/continue homework if you finish and other's are still working on tracker

social studies/ note-taking
II.  ANCIENT ROME & CHRISTIANITY
- overview of strengths of CENTRALIZED Roman empire
- teacher-led notes and lecture

- Youtube video of Constantine the Great
- intro to how Christianity took hold of ancient Roman Empire (ARE)
- will eventually lead to cohesive force in Europe after fall of ARE
- video notes / word list
- discuss, make sense of words written down; add details to explain

social studies/ research/writing
III.  MINI ILLUSTRATED BOOK - work time
- 9 chapters in rough drafts due by Friday
- 1-2 could have been finished in library last Friday
- 1-2 could be finished today in class
- use word list model we created on Constantine to do same for your chapters
- make sure you've included powerful, specific and strong words
* rough drafts are sloppy, not perfect, BUT they are something you can revise
* rough drafts are a separate assignment and worth individual points

Students have had time each day in class to work on MIB or Homework
Their goal is to set specific goals each night on what they can get done
Look at available time.  Think about how long assignments have taken.
Plan nightly homework accordingly.  Try to get as much homework done in class
as possible.
