I.  TRACKER, people
- you know the routine.  Check your tracker.
- What's due?  What do you not have done?
- What do you need to work on?  Fill in?


II.  CASTLES 
- review notes
- write one-page essay on castles, using notes (in SS spiral)
- provide an over view of WHAT castles are, WHEN they appeared,
- WHY they began to be constructed in such large numbers
- WHAT was their purpose
- HOW they were built, WHO would have lived in them, etc.

III.  CASTLES
- introduction to project
- student generated questions
- parts list (write in spiral)
- materials list (write in spiral)
* students brainstorm BEFORE teacher hands out instructions
* forces them to think about project a bit more deeply

- color code the parts of a castle activity
* reinforces what student projects should include
* use as a reference sheet for design of your castle
