which is, unfortunately, overlapping the end of

COMPLETING SS PERSUASIVE PAPERS this week

and don't forget to bring in your

RUN FOR THE ARTS PLEDGES

which are due ASAP!!!

I.  FOUND POETRY SCRAPBOOK drafts 
- find a section or chapter in your book that DESCRIBES A PLACE
- begin a list of things "found" in this place, writing down phrases or short lines
- think about the mood or tone this list conveys based on the adjectives and nouns

 * this type of poetry focuses on impact of what you do or do not say in your writing

* also focuses on the power of descriptive details in writing

*  PERSONIFICATION POEM #2

II.  OAKS STATE TESTING #2 - finish
- do not submit until you've reviewed every answer 
- eliminate choices;  prove why they are not correct
* PRIORITY # (1) finish persuasive paper; 

* then, (2) work on Poetry Scrapbook,or (3) Vocab Sentences;

* or (4) complete map and details/facts on setting of your multi-cult. novel

___  continue planning a few poems, drafting a poem or two for Novel Poem Book (due 2 wks)
___  continue to read from multi-cultural home book (finish by next Wed)
___  begin/review MAP for city or country that multi-cultural book takes place in (due FR)
       * must have a page of facts gleaned (taken from) Atlas or online about map subject
