- find partners and briefly describe what you just read, BUT...
focus on comments that start with..."I wonder," "I thought of..."
"I was reminded of..." , "If I were the main character I would..."
* this helps students think more deeply and reflect on reading, as well
as practice speaking skills.
language arts/reading
III. VOCABULARY - personality types
- model LINCS word/reminding word/story sentence/image activity
- student "test" is to find 3-5 most challenging words and create LINCS
- students may discuss or share

IV. OUTSIDERS - cont. Chpt. 2
- model how to find place ( a surprising difficulty)

- read aloud/stop and discuss theme/character/author style as we go
