     * MAPS testing for LA starts in two weeks

II.  VOCAB for the week (Worksheet:  "Aficionado")  (DUE BY FRI)
      - read text (focus on underlined words)
      - look up definitions; write definitions on lines provided
      - make sure you SUMMARIZE/briefly paraphrase the story
        in the space to the right of the text

     A.    - spiral notes (teacher-led) on PONYBOY
             - physical description/family relationships (left hand side of spiral)
             - thoughts, beliefs, etc.  right hand side of spiral
     B.    - SSR/read chapters 1-2
             - continue notes if you finish (esp. on Darry)
